I take it "they" means zaundads because that is what I've been drawing the most BUT, lets be honest, applies to like 98% of the characters in the show.

🚨Crack theory🚨 but at first I was confused how Vi's death led to an alternate universe where everything is a utopia. Even if Hextech was never invented it doesnt explain how all the class disparity was solved. And then I realized it was probably this:

Vander and Silco are the only ones who really had a plan for a unified and independent Zaun. My theory: after the accident, Vander went into grief over the death of his daughter and stumbled pathetically into the arms of his ex-twink, finally apologized for trying to kill him that one time, they get back together and solve all poverty with the power of old man yaoi. (Also Silco stops making drugs at some point)

Something so incredibly funny abt this scene that no one talks about is Ekko's line "Didn't you try to kill him?" meaning Silco trying to kill Vander but in this reality, we've only been led to believe it's the other way around, and the only attempted murder was Vander trying to drown Silco, so it makes sense that the "forgiveness" line comes from Silco and not Vander. It's just so fascinating

Something I haven't seen mentioned much around the fandom in headcanons, fic, or meta and thought I'd bring up;

The Leagues tie in event; "Jinx Fixes Everything" has her explore The Last Drop, and gives us a more direct explanation for how/why Jinx led them to Silco and Vander's hideaway, (the place where The Letter™ was). Arcane was fine standing alone of course; in ep 5 she mentions having "lost track of [Vander] in the mines", but Jinx Fixes Everything gives us a direct reason for her to know about/poke around that specific spot to look for him. (During that part of the story she's looking for things Vander has a connection to in order to lure him to her.)

You find this map in Silco's safe in his office. It's in there with the "Our Love" record, a picture of him Vander and Felicia, and a journal passage of him musing about raising kids in Zaun/the future. ;_;

I'm half convinced that if Vi and Cait hadn't actually kissed and slept together, there would be some people showing up out of nowhere to say that their relationship is supposed to be platonic and seeing it as romantic is harmful to the concept of simple friendship and that two people can be close without it being romantic etc etc (which they are saying about jayvik and silco/vander)

Now since explaining a thousand times that people can have different opinions and they should learn to respect them instead of correcting them as if there is only one true answer does not seem to work, here's an idea: just block those ship tags and let us all have peace in this fandom.

You can't even imagine, how fixated my mind is on a thought of Silco actually finding the letter Vander wrote to him.

Imagine the two of those Zaun Dads working together. Raising Vi and Powder with their different styles of problem solving. Not scarring them for life with this "you-will-all-dissapear" bullshit of angry and hurt Silco in the first place.

I want to see Silco being the harsher parent to both of the girls. While Vander teaches them to be kind to each other and to hold on to the family, Silco puts his love into showing them, what it means to survive and grow through pain and betrayal. He's scarred, you know, but it's not a taboo o talk with him about it - his bad eye being a constant reminder of not only his will to live, but his greater strength in the ability to forgive and move on.

I want him to teach Powder to shoot and encourage her to invent new things, even if they do sometimes blow up parts of his house. I want him to be critical about Vi's wish to be a close-range fighter, but then help her to fix her gauntlets and shoot at her plastic bullets to train her on avoiding gun fire and shortening the distance between her and her enemy.

Vander is the "traditionally" protective parent, and Silco might seem a bit reckless and even cruel from time to time, but they all know, that he is protective in a practical way. Because Zaun is a pretty dangerous place, and the best you can do to protect your loved one is to teach them how to fight, handle pain, and not give up.

I want Zaundads to create a better Zaun together.

I am sure they would work having the same goals in mind, but using different approaches. Silco have seen the power of science, and he knows, that if they won't work together with Singed, he'll find another baron to sponsor him, and Silco isn't ready to risk it all. Besides, even though Vander is still keeping peace between Piltover and Zaun by having this agreement, of which Silco is of course aware, he also understands the fragility of blind trust, and knows, that it's better to have a backup plan.

So when his girls rush back home, and Piltover police wants to tear them apart, he already knows they'll be able to protect themselves against Piltover forces.

And he's able to make Vander understand it too.

If I had a nickel for every time two miners in a homoerotic “friendship” started a rebellion against the ruling class but then had a falling-out that eventually resulted in an attempted murder and the creation of two factions in their society where they are the two opposing leaders, I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
